Tilman Person

Tilman Person studied music at the Academy of Music
»Hanns Eisler« in Berlin, followed by a specialty in jazz at
the University of the Arts (Berlin).
Other stations on his musical journey took him to Graz and
New York – a teaching position at the Universidad Javeriana
in Bogota in 2002 sparked a deeper interest in Latin musical
styles, such as Salsa and Tango.

Since the early 1990s he’s worked as a freelance drummer
with numerous bands mostly from the Berlin music scene – he
has also performed with countless theatre productions,
Varietés and on cruise ships.
